Athletics Throwing

Athletics is exciting you can throw and you can run around the field. I have improved by throwing it further by pushing off my bent leg so I can throw harder.

App Review For Pic Collage

Pic Collage is an app that you can pick a fancy background  and put lots of photos on top of the background and the photos can go  different  ways.

I have used Pic Collage to create a basketball Pic Collage. Room 9 learnt how to play basketball with Dianne from Project Energize and we took photos to make a Pic Collage.

Pic Collage helps me with my learning because it can help me to share our learning with other people.

I think Pic Collage should stay on the ipad or ipod because we can make heaps of Pic Collages about what we have done throughout the year and remember how much fun we had this year.

Pic  Collage is a collaborative app because we mainly create a Pic Collage with other people and at Techsperxs and the photos include lots of people in them.

Next time I use Pic Collage I am going to try and use it at athletics to show all the different stations that make up athletics like running, throwing, high jump and long jump.

Character Description

 The Orton Ice Queen

The Orton Ice Queen loves white and she loves ice cream everyday she has ice cream. She has it for breakfast and morning tea and lunch and dinner.the Orton Ice Queen is covered in white with a fluffy jacket.  She turns everything into ice and is mean to her family. She lives in a tree house in the woods and she has heaps of blankets made from all the animals she has killed and her tree house is painted white with snow.the Orton Ice Queen has ice powers when people walk past her in the woods she turns them into ice and they never become unfrozen because there is no sun there because she love ice and after she has finished iceing you she eats you with the ice on you and it hors when she eat you her cote is as willy as a sheep wondor how cooled it is it might be cooled.

My writing goals are to use capital letters and full stops.

This shows that I have used my capital letters and full stops. I am still remembering to use them all of the time when I am writing.

To spell all of Essential Word Lists 1-4 right.
I have achieved lists 1-3. I am still working on learning some words in list 4.

My last writing goal is to plan my writing in different ways.

Evidence of achieving my reading goals

My reading goals are to confidently match the image to the word.

This shows that I got better I had 3/10 and then got 7/10 right.

To read for meaning and place the missing word that best makes sense in the gap like CLOZE activities.

This shows that I went from 1/10 to 8/10 for my sentence comprehension and 5/10 to 9/15 for my paragraph comprehension. This means that I am reading it more carefully to make sure what I fill the gaps with makes sense.

My last maths goal is to get faster at answering my basic facts. The tests show me that I am getting faster at answering my basic facts.

Chinese Cinderella-Chapter 3

I learnt that you have to tie your feet up in China because they want to make them smaller. If girls had big feet boys didn't want to marry them.
Children made their families proud by getting awards at school.
The funny part was when they pulled Grandad's nose hair out.

Writing Warmup

Today for our writing warm up we had 5 minutes to write a story that used a boot, a pencil and a $5 note. This is my story.

One day I put my boot on and I had my $5 note and I went to the shop and in that shop I saw a magic  pencil and I loved it so much I brough it. It was mine forever.

WOW REFLECTION.

What was your favourite part of the process? My favourite part was seeing the cool fan dress at the museum.

What did you find hard? Drawing our first design.     

What would you do differently? Make a bangle.

What was surprising? Seeing how beautiful the dress was when we made it and our model was wearing it.

Room 9's Assembly

At my class's assembly I felt good and ready because I had been practising hard.
My favourite thing at the assembly was the soundscape and being the conductor.
Next time I will use expression in my voice when it is my turn to speak.

WOW

We went to the museum I  liked the fan costume and it was my favorite costume in the world. The lady told us a story about the costume. She said that a man went to the moon and his wings got burnt and he fell back down to the earth and he dyed and his wife decided to go to the moon and be sad forever up at the moon. Going to the museum will help me make my own costume because I know how to design a costume.

The wedding

My Aunty's wedding was awesome. It even had a deck with drinks and I got my cousins a drink and  I  danced to gangam style the whole time I love dancing. I wanted to go to camp but I went to my Aunty's wedding instead. 

What I have enjoyed so far

What I have enjoyed so far this year is swimming and floating on my noodle backwards. What I am looking forward to is doing more cool things like floating on my back without a noodle.

Swimming

I am proud of myself getting better at swimming on the noddle kicking backwards. One thing I want to work on is doing my starfish on my back and my tummy.

My goal for reading is geting better at reading by concentrating on what I am reading and being able to answer the questions about the book. My maths goal is concentrating on my maths and counting all my counters.
My goal for writing is geting better at spelling by sounding the letters out.
